Updates for the month of July! Hehe! Shi hui just got back from Mexico so we decided to have some Frog porridge near our sec school and catch up!

It was quite nice but I personally wish that they’ll be more generous with the meat! But the sauce is quite addictive!

Shihui was craving for some bubble tea so we went to some old school bubble tea shop, it used to be $1/cup and now look at the price! Tsk Tsk, Koi’s fault.

This book is a great psychological reading that I randomly picked up at JE library and like the title suggests, it makes you think a little, change alot.

There are things which I did correctly to motivate myself after trying tons of methods to get myself started (seriously, timetable doesn’t work for me. It just makes me damn depressed whenever I fail to keep to it) and things that I overlooked in various aspects of life.

When I’m done, I’ll write a summary out of it. Yes, you heard me! HAHA, I know it is damn nuts but the research and findings are so comprehensive that it’ll be a waste to forget!

Alex & I had dinner one day after work to chase away the blues and did some minor catch-up. Talks like that are so uplifting, causal and sharing everyday life events makes monotonous working life more interesting.

Mundane Life

It’s been almost a month since the start of work & I’m getting the hang of things now. Adapted to the job, the environment and moving of office recently. It’s tough juggling work & studies on Mondays since tuesday I’ll be too sleepy to head out and will usually go for an evening run on Wednesday. Can’t feel better with the balance between both work, studies & life in general since things here arent as hectic as where I used to be previously.’Not to mention that the people here are nice with lotsa laughter around in my department.

And I loveeee the new coffee machine that they bought in, it’s fun to put in packets of hot chocolate and drink them up while overlooking at this:

These things in life just perk me up everyday.

I’m glad that July is coming to an end, it’s been a roller coaster ride this whole month and I can’t be more glad that things are looking up again. I’ve tons of gatherings/events planned out in August & looking forward to them! Minus the fact that both UOL/ACCA results are released by the end of Aug.

Been reading this really fantastic book & got hooked on it, will update again! Man, I should be reading FRS instead.

After eating we went to explore the sch that we used to be familiar with. It is a lil foreign now with all the different tuition centres and music schools etc that moved in. They say change is the only constant in life, how true.

This is the forbidden staircase that we were not allow to use back then. I forget what reason they gave but only staff are allowed to use it! And the prefects can write down anyone’s name if a student attempt to use it! I do get a kick when I write down those names. *grins*

HanQing, who used to be an ex-boonlay primary student (Ha, rival school that was taken over by JPS after we graduated), was forced to take a photo with us! See his reluctant face.

What remain the same was this corridor and the school hall. I remember it was very stuffy and squeezy when we have assembly here!

Jurong Lakeside Run 2011

My first marathon! Yes I know I’m slow cos the marathon craze happened quite some time back but hey, better late than never!

Anyway, I registered for it during my exam period and I was worried that I wont have sufficient time to train for the competitive run so I took part in the 5km fun run instead, which was not exactly very challenging. Besides, it was lonely cos my flag off time is different from the rest.

Fav girl and I: we were waiting for Crystal to arrive for Wii & decided to play with the camera! Btw, playnation @ Scape is offically my best hangout place in town. Value for $ & great for bonding!

Work-Life Balance

Finally got a job after searching for a week plus & feeling like a bum, now I just want to be a bum cos I’m so tired every single day, trying to fight the sleeping bug ard 2-4pm and hunger strike at 10am/4pm respectively.

Not gonna rant on cos actually I still love my workplace/job scope. Finally something accounting-related. When I managed to get those horrrible double entries right, I feel a sense of happiness. I know I know, I must be sick in the mind somehow.

School officially starts next monday, which means, even lesser time for play. At least, I totally enjoy myself this whole week, meeting all those loved ones! Hehe, guess I was too engrossed in convo that I forget to take photos. But still, I managed a few snapshots!

I love the building cos it’s like those old wooden shophouses in the 1960s! The previous time we went around 10pm it was so crowded so we had to forgo it & head to another pub.

So tah! The buffalo wings are very very addictive. Once I start I can’t stop!

The signature No.5 Pizza is nice, a lil spicy. But I still love Timbre’s duck pizza more.

No that’s not vomit if you are wondering. It’s earl grey martini on the left. Haha! It smells like soap and tastes a lil too strong for my liking. I prefer the choyu one that the rest drank!

The cool thing about No.5 is that we were told to swipe the peanut shells on the ground & it’s the norm over there. Hehe, so we just kept munching on the big bowl of peanuts (impossible to finish) while chatting & littering!

Working at harbourfront is a bad choice cos during lunch break we’ll shop at Vivo & it’s almost impossible to not spend $$. Ok, at least for this week I just curb the urge to impulse buy. Thank god!

My new sandals! I went all the way to causeway point to get it cos it was sold out island-wide! I know there’s nothing special about it but when girls hear “sold out”, there’s this urge to want it even more, right?

It used to be Jurong Primary school which holds tons of good memories for me. So we decided to go back & eat zi char over there, cant help but feel nostalgic when I stepped in!

The food was so-so & we all agreed that Coffee United one wins it, hands-down!

I’ve been blogging religiously these days & got the kick from it. So i decided to visit my old blog & cringe at my old entries but you know, just like memories everything came pouring back.

It’s very nostalgic, very sentimental. Some of the entries just make me think back if I’ve walked a different path back then, things would be very much different now. I don’t mean it in a bad way but.. somehow, it makes me think back alot.

There are songs that remind me of certain people and in fact, I’ve not keep in touch with most whom I was close to at certain point of my life. Ironic how things change so much in a short span of a few years uh.

I just hope that the older me will be more contented with whatever I’ve now & in future & not take things for granted like the 17 years old me.

A week of catching up.

This week has been hectic with many things to check off from my to-do list. It’s damn satisfying to complete them together with meeting friends along the way. Well-deserved break from examinations!

IKEA meatballs are <3 ! And the daim cake!

It was Oei min’s birthday when I went over to visit! She’s like the nicest trainer around, or at least to me. Hehe, it feels really good to be catching up with ex-colleagues.

The super nice and petite mama! We chatted away at the corridor cause I screamed so loudly when I saw everyone that I was chased out from office. :P

My testimonial from Irene. Really makes me feel like all the efforts and hard work is worth it and appreciated, despite being only there for a short 5months (feels like forever thou). Haha, but it was a good experience!

After which I had dinner with Crystal & Emily at Pique, try the all-day breakfast – Cheap & good! The curry fries are comparable to EWF. Oh, and the cakes look really yummy!

New buy from F21 at orchard exchange! Haha, we chanced upon the opening & I can’t resist this pretty dress which I’ve not thought of an occasion to wear it to.

Exams are officially over & I can’t wait for work to start soon! For the time being, I’m enjoying my one week break! Very very excited!

I’ve a whole list of to-do list to check off, and sticking to them now! Except for running.

2 days 1 night korean buffet at Duxton Hill.

Seriously, if I don’t just stone inside my dad’s car all the times, I would have realised that it is so near chinatown and Mitzi! Then I won’t get lost & ruin own surprise! Haha.

It is extremely cheap ($22/pax!) & the beef there was exceptionally juicy and nice, but the downside is the long queue & I smell like a walking BBQ after I came out!

My new pill box! So more time can be saved in the morning eating pills! Yes, I’m a pill freak.

And starting from next sem, I’m not studying in Kaplan anymore. Somehow, there’s this part of me that miss the campus. Even thou the toilet stinks, the water cooler is situated at the farrrrrrr end, the lecturers either go extremely fast till my hands are gonna break or extremely slow that makes me want to sleep BUT… I still miss every bit of it. Gee, I think I gonna start getting used to a new environment soon.
